What’s up my people. I’m here to give you a little bit of background info on myself, as well as the Soul Hunny brand because we are officially one week in from launch day and I can’t tell you all how humbled I am from the support you have shown me! This has all been such a whirlwind and I have been eating cereal for an entire week but I wouldn't have it any other way.
First and foremost, you have to know that I could not have built what you see today as Soul Hunny without the help of the one and only Hanna Mason. You are probably familiar with her pretty face and sultry eyes all over the website and our social media but she does so much more than that. She’s a friend, a badass, and she’s going places. I am so grateful for the opportunity to give you what you see as Soul Hunny today because of her + she’s a part of the #hunnyhive 4ever so you should give her a follow @hannammae. <3
About me: I grew up in Northern Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a degree in Apparel + Merchandising and a minor in Business Management. I kind of always struggled with "what I wanted to do" but knew I was doing it right when I found an old sketch book shoved full of fashion magazine cutouts and drawings from when I was a kid.
I have worked in the retail industry since I was 16 which is just over 12 years now. Over that time I've picked up everything you could ever want to know about customer service, management, and the shopping experience both in store and online. I could tell you a lot of good stories and a lot of bad ones but to summarize all those years up, I'll share with you that my main goal as a new business owner is to always focus on my customers and my employees. I hope to create a workspace where all individuals can be creative, evolve, and feel appreciated. I also know that you as a consumer can easily spend your money elsewhere. The relationship I have with you all will always be a top priority and I hope the experience you have with Soul Hunny is fun + unique.
If you’ve read the “About Us” page then you know that being a Soul Hunny is about doing the things that make your soul happy and finding your truest self. While it sounds simple, it is sometimes the simple things in life that are the hardest. I'm definitely no stranger to that. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the daily “to-do”, our jobs, our insecurities, and the “shoulds” of life. Make sure you take the time to appreciate how quiet it can be in the morning, call that person you can't stop thinking about, and take your dog out to chase the butterflies. I’m right behind you actively trying to pursue what makes my soul warm + happy too.
And now, with all that soul search talk, I have no idea how to end this thing... so I'll leave you with this: you stay classy San Diego.
